After eight years working in the finance sector, Jale balcı has stepped into the culinary sector carrying her taking her cooking hobby further into proffesionalism.
Member of Kitchen Friends and Children's Health Foundations, Balcı has had long trainings about Nutrition Specialism, table decorations and cooking from reputable experts both in Turkey and abroad. She published her first cookbook, 50 Practical Menus in 2006 from Remzi Kitapevi; her second cookbook, Appetizer Menus, in December 2008 also from Remzi Kitapevi. She presents the special tastes of Antakya, city of civilizations and where she was born, in the restaurant called "Antiochia" of which she is a partner. Jale Balcı, a fronteer in "Menu Design", also gives consultancy about menus to some of the leading catering firms. She also consults house parties, restaurants and concept restaurants on menu designs. |
